| Flats and Sharps |
“Flats and Sharps may be one of the newest names on the British Bluegrass/Folk scene… Oh but what a band!” They started to make a name for themselves while busking in Penzance in Cornwall. Gigs soon followed , they went to Sore Fingers Week, getting a standing ovation in the Student concert. "A first!" That led to festival gigs at Orwell, Didmarton, Gower and the Cornish Bluegrass Festival. Not a bad result for a two song performance! They play bluegrass for the love of it and thrill audiences with their harmonies and the way the harmonies engage with their instruments. The band's aim is “to put a smile on your face, get your toes a tappin’ and make you feel good”. Mikey Ponsford - Mandolin, Vocals; Josh Aubrey - Guitar, Vocals; Liam Fitzharris - Double Bass, Vocals; Kirk Bowman - Banjo, Vocals Website: http://www.flatsandsharps.co.uk/ |

G T Moore is singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist with a recording career that stretches back to the early seventies, he is a true pioneer and maverick of the British music scene. Last year he played at the Porthleven Festival where audiences were wowed by his own very special brand of music. By popular demand, he returns with his band and as headliners they will be rounding off the show on the LKS with a full hour and a half set. The Lost Ark Band are based in Belgium around it’s leader Brecht de Buuver. He is also a painter and a film maker of some status and the band is a very creative unit, committed to reggae music and reggae philosophy. With G T Moore they play what might be called “their own free flowing roots style” with original lyrics and an almost “folk” sound. |
